Perfect Five-Star Overall Safety Rating for the LEAF

The Nissan LEAF isn't even available nationwide yet.  And, already it's won a suit of different awards and accolades. The most recent of which, is a five-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). What's makes this an even bigger deal than the fact that five-stars represent a perfect rating is the fact that Nissan LEAF is the first  pure EV to ever have its crash protection system evaluated by the federal government. Talk about setting the stakes high!

Among the many safety features, contributing to the Nissan LEAF's award-winning safety are: Nissan Advanced Air Bag System with dual-stage supplement front air bags with seat belt and occupant-classification sensors; driver- and passenger seat-mounted side-impact supplemental airbags; roof-mounted curtain side-impact supplemental airbags; Vehicle Dynamic Control with Traction Control System, three-point seatbelts, LATCH, shock-absorbing steering column, and tire-pressure monitoring system. And, that's just the safety features. There are plenty of comfort and convenience features to match.

To learn more about the Nissan LEAF - which has not only earned a perfect five-star safety rating from the NHTSA, but a 2011 TOP SAFETY PICK designation from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), a ranking on the 2011 Top Green Cars list, and a place on Ward's 10-Best Engines list - call Royal Nissan at 9325 Airline Highway Baton Rouge, LA 70815, today.
