New Smartphone App to Help Charge the LEAF


The Nissan LEAF EV that was released to the market earlier this year has become popular among consumers.  To date over ten thousand units have been sold.  Nissan doesn't plan on stopping there.  They've already developed and launched a new Blackberry and Android app to assist LEAF owners.

Perfect Five-Star Overall Safety Rating for the LEAF


The Nissan LEAF isn't even available nationwide yet.  And, already it's won a suit of different awards and accolades. The most recent of which, is a five-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). What's makes this an even bigger deal than the fact that five-stars represent a perfect rating is the fact that Nissan LEAF is the first  pure EV to ever have its crash protection system evaluated by the federal government. Nissan is Developing a Solar System for the LEAF


The Nissan LEAF has been widely accepted by customers.  It has also been named the greenest vehicle on the market.  However, Nissan is now pushing the "green" boundaries even more.  Their goal is to reduce the LEAF's draw on the grid by utilizing solar power and to mitigate battery waste.
